I’ve missed this community. love you all :)

So August is here, I guess it’s time for new goals!

  • Run every day, doesn’t matter how far, but just get a run in, as well as complying with my Half Marathon training schedule!
  • Eat healthier. I know I say that all the time, but now I’ve realized how I’ve not actually been eating too well.
  • I can have one “treat” a day, and will eat when I’m hungry - not when I’m bored!!!
  • I will drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.
  • I will drink a maximum of 3 cups of coffee a day.
  • I am hoping to weigh less than 170 by the end of the month!!

Let’s tackle August :)

Yes!!!
I gotta get my shit together though. 6 weeks to lose 15 pounds. I can’t wait to see what people say in September

So I’m way behind where I wanted to be, but such is life.

Right now I have almost exactly 2 months left of summer. I weight about 178 (I think I mainly gained muscle weight and have been super bloated recently).

By the end of summer I am hoping to be down to at least 165. It will also be close to my half marathon so I have faith that training will aid in my weight loss.

In order to lose this weight I am going to work out for at least one hour a day, and starting on July 23, start my half marathon training schedule. I will modify my workouts and rest according to how my body feels because I will be running a lot, but I am stoked to be working out about 5 days a week at this point - I’ve mainly been missing due to going out of town for day trips. So I’m hoping to bump that up to 6 days a week if not 7 again :)

Here’s to losing weight, the healthy way :)

Day forty-six: Do you have a favourite motivational quote?

The first one to come to mind is “pain is weakness leaving the body” :) so true. It’s what keeps me going during a tough workout.

Week 7!
Weekly challenge: Aim to have a completely “clean food” week, avoid all processed food!

so easy to do with my job :)

Day forty-three: Apart from weight loss, have you noticed any other benefits from your healthy diet?

yes. I feel much better when I run, easier to breath and less stress on my knees/joints. also I feel like my skin is healthier from eating more natural foods! :)

Day forty-two: What is the meaning of life? Just kidding. If you feel happy with the way your body looks before you reach your ultimate goal weight, will you continue to try and lose weight, or will you aim to maintain?

hmm. I’ll honestly probably still try to lose. My goal weight barely puts me near or at a “healthy” weight, so it would be nice to actually see 160 (or lower on a scale) it also would mean that i’ve gotten rid of that much more fat!! So, the answer would be no.

Day forty-one: Do you drink tea or coffee?

I drink soooo much coffee. Growing up around Seattle made it hard to not drink it. I have at least a cup of joe every morning and just love it :) I also am a tea drinker, but I can’t go a day without my coffee!!

so i was going to just go and do all of the ones I haven’t yet, but decided to just start where I left off, which is a perfect question for the situation.

Day forty: Have you gained weight at any point of your journey? How did this effect you?

Yes. I mean I only gained about a pound in the last week, due to a decrease in exercise and an increase in eating, especially not the healthiest food. But it actually made me feel better because I realized that a bad day, or even week doesn’t really kill your goals and that you just have to get back to it. Not that moving and travelling and all the other shenanigans I’ve done in the past week are a good excuse, but there are definitely times where you’ll ruin your routine and in turn gain weight, but it’s not the end of the world :)
